JP Morgan, MA

Pre-licensed Counselor (he/him)
My background in Buddhist meditation centers, where I provided psycho-emotional support, led group meditation, and facilitated group processing, deeply shapes my approach as a therapist. I create a safe, relational, and dynamic space for clients to explore their inner world. I value a collaborative therapeutic relationship built on trust and understanding, aiming to help individuals cultivate well-being and fulfillment.
I work with individuals (18+) and couples from all backgrounds, respecting each person’s unique experience. My approach integrates person-centered and psychodynamic methods, along with Emotion-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Existential, and Relational-Cultural perspectives.
Our work may involve increasing self-awareness, exploring identity and life meaning, processing grief, emotional pain, or life transitions, and developing tools to cope with stress. With over a decade of meditation experience, I incorporate mindfulness, somatic practices, and creative techniques like dream reflection, movement, breathwork, and journaling to support personal growth.
