Practice Owner

What brings you to therapy? A sense of commitment to your mental health? Is it a need to process and work through intense or complicated life events? Perhaps you have a desire to challenge or re-author the old narratives that you’ve carried from your past?

Whatever brings you here, I want you to know that it is ok. I’m not here to judge – instead, my goal is to build an authentic trusting relationship with you so we can navigate the hard and often uncomfortable parts of life together. More than anything, I want you to know that you are not alone.

Growing up as an identical twin and being (tied) for the youngest of four children in rural Minnesota, I have found strength in relying on a community of support to navigate both the joyful and painful seasons of life. Outside of the therapy office, some of my interests include theatre, fishing, being in nature, and playing board games.

In my practice I draw from existential, narrative, cognitive behavioral, and solution-focused counseling theories to provide a blended person-centered approach to our work together. My passion and primary area of expertise is in serving those who are survivors of grief and loss, including ambiguous losses from life changes.

Adjacent to these topics are my strengths in providing support for those facing anxiety, depression, or acute stress. Notably, my experience draws from proudly serving teenagers and their families for the past 15 years. Moreover, my aim is to partner with clients in developing healthy coping skills, improved boundaries, as well as cultivating effective communication in everyday life.
